Bron Barkley served as a Christian Pastor of four churches from 1974 to 2010. The last two he and his wife of forty-five years, Darlene, pioneered in Kingwood, Texas from 1983 to 2010. The fourth church is an inter-cultural work known as Shalom Hebraic Christian Congregation–a unique church that demonstrates the inherent unity between Biblical Messianic Judaism and Biblical Christianity and that functions as a living bridge of communication between inquiring Jews and Christians concerning their mutual inheritance in Jesus the Messiah.
Dr. Barkley holds liberal arts Bachelor and Master degrees from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the CSBR* Jerusalem School Of The Synoptics at Redlands University in Redlands, California. (* Centre for the Study of Biblical Research, the late Dr. William Bean, Dean.)
Bron has completed three trimesters of post-graduate work in Biblical Hebrew at Southern Methodist University, Perkins Seminary, Dallas, TX.
He is a practical theologian, author, apologist, literarian, poet, musician and song-writer.
Dr. Barkley currently ministers in various capacities in McKinney, Texas on behalf of The Nathaniel Foundation, a contributing Christian Charity, and through The Bethany Center of McKinney.
