  • We hereby declare that we shall honor the distant voices of the Holocaust and the remaining survivors on this Holocaust Memorial Day, and we shall stand with them in memory of their most dreadful tragedy. We also declare that in a time of rising worldwide anti-Semitism, we will not allow the silent indifference of the past to rise again. We shall stand with those who have suffered this atrocity and provide a platform for the actual witnesses to give public testimony. I understand that the March of Remembrance is not a political rally, not a protest, and not a publicity stunt. I am also aware that carrying banners deemed as aggressive or displaying signs or clothing outside the spirit of this statement or the March of Remembrance shall not be allowed.

The marches were birthed in Tübingen, Germany by Jobst Bitner, a theologian and activist, as a German-Christian response to the Holocaust. The marches have grown to a worldwide movement led by Christian leaders and universities partnering with the Jewish community.

Date: Sunday, April 19th (Yom HaShoa)
Time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Location: SMU Mack Ballroom - Dallas, TX

The march will be on the SMU campus concluding with a short remembrance ceremony on the lawn.
